Data Responsibility

The Wadden Sea National Park Foundation processes personal data in order to manage the administration of the operation of the foundation in accordance with its purpose. This privacy policy explains how we process your data. The Wadden Sea National Park Foundation is the data controller and has the following contact information:

Collection and Purpose

The collection and processing of personal data is necessary in order to develop and operate in accordance with the purposes of the Wadden Sea National Park Executive Order (link to the Executive Order). The National Park also has a legal obligation to collect information for bookkeeping purposes - cf. the Danish Act on Public Administration. We do not collect more personal data than is necessary to fulfill our obligations.

The personal data we collect and process is primarily contact information in the form of:

  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Domain name
  • CPR number
  • Business registration number
  • IP address
  • Invoice numbers
  • Credit note numbers
  • EAN no. / Account no

The Wadden Sea National Park Foundation collects and processes data in connection with contracting, case management, use of the Foundation's website, subscription to newsletters and mailing lists, meetings and general development and operational tasks.

The Wadden Sea National Park Foundation may also independently collect and process updated personal data in connection with checking contact information and identity for registrants as well as validating contact information by searching CPR and CVR, see below. This is necessary to ensure that the personal data we process about you is accurate, which is a requirement under accounting legislation, etc. Therefore, it is also important that you update your own personal data regularly in our systems.

Fair and transparent processing of personal data

When collecting your personal data, we inform you about what information we process about you and for what purpose. You will receive this information at the time of collection of your personal data.

Information security

At Wadden Sea National Park Foundation, security is a high priority. We focus on how we protect our data, systems and services. Our information security policy is the foundation of our work to secure our systems and services as well as our customers' data.

Our high standard of information security means, among other things, that we protect our critical and sensitive information and information systems against compromise and other unauthorised use. We ensure that your personal data is not destroyed by mistake, lost, altered, published without authorisation and that unauthorised persons do not gain access or knowledge of it.

Data processing agreement

We always enter into a data processing agreement with suppliers who process personal data on our behalf, and we ensure that our data processors meet a high standard of information security.

Deletion of personal data. We delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, processed and stored. Even if you, for example, cancel your agreement to do business with us, we may be obliged to store your data, cf. the Danish Bookkeeping Act, etc. for 5 years. This is information that is necessary to be able to determine important actions taken by you or us during the course of the co-operation relationship. For example, it may be information that we need in order to establish any legal claims that may arise from a contractual relationship between a registrant or registrar and us. We continuously review our data retention needs to ensure that we do not store more data than necessary.

Marketing or commercial use

Wadden Sea National Park Foundation does not disclose personal data to third parties for marketing or other commercial use.

Right of access

You have the right at any time to be informed of what personal data we have registered about you. When requesting access to your personal data, we will require documentation of your identity (also a requirement under the Danish Money Laundering Act) to ensure that data is only disclosed to the right person.

If you request it, we can inform you about the data we process about you. However, access may be restricted for reasons of other people's privacy, trade secrets or intellectual property rights.

Please write to vadehavet@danmarksnationalparker.dk and state "Access to personal data" as the subject if you wish to access your personal data.

Access to erasure or rectification of your personal data

If you believe that the personal data we process about you is inaccurate, you have the right to have it corrected. You must contact us and inform us of the nature of the inaccuracies and how they can be corrected.

In some cases, we have an obligation to erase your personal data. If you believe that your data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which we collected it, you can ask for it to be deleted. You can also contact us if you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of the law or other legal obligations.

When you contact us with a request to have your personal data corrected or deleted, we will investigate whether the conditions are met and, if so, implement changes or deletion as soon as possible.

Right to object

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. If your objection is justified, we will stop processing your personal data. However, you should be aware that the processing of your personal data is a prerequisite for you to have an agreement with the Wadden Sea National Park Foundation regarding co-operation, delivery, purchase or employment, as the data is necessary to administer the co-operation, supplier or employment relationship.

Visiting the DK Hostmaster website. On the website, we use cookies for statistics and user surveys. Among other things, this gives us an overview of how many people visit the different parts of our website, and we can ask our users about their experience of the website. In this way, we can make the website as user-friendly as possible. When you visit the website, you will see a top banner with information about cookies for statistics. If you click "OK", session cookies and cookies to collect statistics are set and the banner disappears. The information in the cookies is anonymous to us and is not linked to the individual user.
